Should I Cut or Lean Bulk? The classic question I get ALL THE TIME. I’ve had this question and still do after I end certain phases. It can be difficult to figure out but these simple system will help you get clear on what you really want and the steps you need to take next to achieve it. 


Step One: Measure where you’re at.

Get a Body fat measurement (this step is mandatory) 


  1. Find a local trainer who is experienced with calipers
  2. US only go to https://www.dexafit.com/dexafit-store-mapper and lock in an appointment 
  3. Bust out the measuring tape and use this calculator.
  4. Bodpod (if possible) 

Step Two – Decide when you’re going to retest? Also, what’s the goal between now and then?

Want to get to sub 10% and then go back up? Or are the holidays/ vacation are coming and you know that’s going to be hard

Be real.

Step Three Decide where you want to go and use the traffic light system by Dan John To Determine What You Can Seriously COMMIT to in the next 30 to 90 days. 

What’s your current workload? How much progress do you want to see in one month? 3 Months? Where do you want to be in one year?

Get clear on your goals and what it’s going to take to get there.
